Remember where the “synagogue of Satan” was
first established by those who “ say they are
Jews, and are not, but do lie”? Earlier in Smyrna
(see Revelation 2:9) these false worshipers
were established right around where the true
worshipers worship. Now we find that later in
Philadelphia that there are still some of these
“false Jews” (or false Christians) hanging
around. These people are more mindful of the
approval of men than they are of pleasing and
worshiping God. These kind of people can be
staunchly religious minded and they will even
hang around where the true worshipers have a
“little strength”; where even the doors of true
spiritual understanding and light have been
opened .
“For he is not a Jew, which is
one outwardly; neither is that
circumcision, which is outward
in the flesh: But he is a Jew,
which is one inwardly; and
circumcision is that of the heart,
in the spirit, and not in the
letter; whose praise is not of
men, but of God.” (Romans
2:28-29)
Spiritual earthquakes have happened throughout
history, but I would like to bring our attention to
a great spiritual earthquake and shaking of
people that happened starting around 1880; due
to the strength and clarity of the message
preached by a true, Holy Ghost anointed
ministry. This caused sincere true worshipers to
be gathered together as one in true Bible love
and in honour and praise to God. When the
confusion of different conflicting: doctrines,
churches, interpretations, and revelations are
removed and people worship in agreement and
in the true love of God, then the confused and
the sinner can be convicted of their error, and
they will acknowledge the reality of God working
amongst his true people:
“But if all prophesy, and there
come in one that believeth not,
or one unlearned, he is
convinced of all, he is judged of
all: And thus are the secrets of
his heart made manifest; and so
falling down on his face he will
worship God, and report that
God is in you of a truth. How is
it then, brethren? when ye come
together, every one of you hath
a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a
tongue, hath a revelation, hath
an interpretation. Let all things
be done unto edifying.” (1
Corinthians 14:24-26)
The effect of people in heart felt agreement and
in true unity and love worshiping God in truth,
(especially in the middle of tribulation and
persecution) has always had a spiritual shaking
and fearful effect on people:
“And at midnight Paul and Silas
prayed, and sang praises unto
God: and the prisoners heard
them. And suddenly there was a
great earthquake, so that the
foundations of the prison were
shaken: and immediately all the
doors were opened, and every
one’s bands were loosed. And
the keeper of the prison
awaking out of his sleep, and
seeing the prison doors open, he
drew out his sword, and would
have killed himself, supposing
that the prisoners had been fled.
But Paul cried with a loud voice,
saying, Do thyself no harm: for
we are all here. Then he called
for a light, and sprang in, and
came trembling, and fell down
before Paul and Silas, And
brought them out, and said, Sirs,
what must I do to be
saved?” (Acts 16:25-30)
Not everyone is as honest as the keeper of the
prison at Thyatira. Some out of fear will
acknowledge that God is working amongst the
true church of God, but that does not mean that
they themselves have really fully repented of
false doctrine and devisive attitudes. Two
examples stand out in the book of the Acts of
the Apostles:
Ananias and his wife Sapphira (Acts
5:1-11)
Simon the sorcerer (Acts 8:5-24)
Although both of these acknowledged that God
was working amongst his true people and “put
on” that they were also fully woshipping, the
reality was that they were doing what they did
to be seen and religiously accepted of men. In
their hearts they really were not right with God.
Although people are shaken and amazed by a
true ministry revealing the truth, when Jesus
states that “I will make them to come and
worship before thy feet, and to know that I have
loved thee” he is not advocating that people
should worship men. He is simply stating the
fact that Jesus will make them acknowledge the
truth working in true Christians. Even later in
Revelations when the Apostle John was amazed
by the angel messenger revealing the
Revelations to him, that preacher told him to
only worship God:
“And I John saw these things,
and heard them. And when I had
heard and seen, I fell down to
worship before the feet of the
angel which shewed me these
things. Then saith he unto me,
See thou do it not: for I am thy
fellowservant, and of thy
brethren the prophets, and of
them which keep the sayings of
this book: worship
God.” (Revelation 22:8-9)
What Jesus is saying is that these who “hang
around” where the true worshippers are will be
made to show honour and respect, for Jesus
himself will put fear into their hearts by his very
presence and authority amongst them. The
shaking of the preaching of solid truth and true
worship cannot be ignored:
“The sons of them that afflicted thee
shall come bending unto thee; and all
they that despise thee shall bow
themselves down at the soles of thy feet;
and they shall call thee, The City of the
LORD, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Whereas thou hast been forsaken and
hated, so that no man went through thee,
I will make thee an eternal excellency, a
joy of many generations.” (Isaiah 60:14)
“The evil bow before the good; and the
wicked at the gates of the
righteous.” (Proverbs 14:19)
“See that ye refuse not him that
speaketh. For if they escaped not who
refused him that spake on earth, much
more shall not we escape, if we turn
away from him that speaketh from
heaven: Whose voice then shook the
earth: but now he hath promised, saying,
Yet once more I shake not the earth only,
but also heaven. And this word, Yet once
more, signifieth the removing of those
things that are shaken, as of things that
are made, that those things which cannot
be shaken may remain. Wherefore we
receiving a kingdom which cannot be
moved, let us have grace, whereby we
may serve God acceptably with reverence
and godly fear: For our God is a
consuming fire.” (Hebrews 12:25-29)
Jesus said concerning these “which say they
are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will
make them to come and worship before thy
feet, and to know that I have loved thee.” They
are going to understand that Jesus loves these
that have held true to loving him and have
suffered for standing against false teachings
and false churches:
“As the Father hath loved me, so have I
loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye
keep my commandments, ye shall abide
in my love; even as I have kept my
Father’s commandments, and abide in his
love. These things have I spoken unto
you, that my joy might remain in you, and
that your joy might be full. This is my
commandment, That ye love one another,
as I have loved you.” (John 15:9-12)
“Neither pray I for these alone, but for
them also which shall believe on me
through their word; That they all may be
one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in
thee, that they also may be one in us:
that the world may believe that thou hast
sent me. And the glory which thou gavest
me I have given them; that they may be
one, even as we are one: I in them, and
thou in me, that they may be made
perfect in one; and that the world may
know that thou hast sent me, and hast
loved them, as thou hast loved
me.” (John 17:20-23)
“And one of the elders answered, saying
unto me, What are these which are
arrayed in white robes? and whence came
they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou
knowest. And he said to me, These are
they which came out of great tribulation,
and have washed their robes, and made
them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore are they before the throne of
God, and serve him day and night in his
temple: and he that sitteth on the throne
shall dwell among them. They shall
hunger no more, neither thirst any more;
neither shall the sun light on them, nor
any heat. For the Lamb which is in the
midst of the throne shall feed them, and
shall lead them unto living fountains of
waters: and God shall wipe away all tears
from their eyes.” (Rev 7:13-18)
When Jesus opens the doors of heaven, there
are still those who “hang around” but still do not
fully let go of their own way; and they
eventually lose out:
“Then said one
unto him, Lord,
are there few that
be saved? And he
said unto them,
Strive to enter in
at the strait gate:
for many, I say unto you, will
seek to enter in, and shall not
be able. When once the master
of the house is risen up, and
hath shut to the door, and ye
begin to stand without, and to
knock at the door, saying, Lord,
Lord, open unto us; and he shall
answer and say unto you, I know
you not whence ye are: Then
shall ye begin to say, We have
eaten and drunk in thy presence,
and thou hast taught in our
streets. But he shall say, I tell
you, I know you not whence ye
are; depart from me, all ye
workers of iniquity. There shall
be weeping and gnashing of
teeth, when ye shall see
Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob,
and all the prophets, in the
kingdom of God, and you
yourselves thrust out. And they
shall come from the east, and
from the west, and from the
north, and from the south, and
shall sit down in the kingdom of
God. And, behold, there are last
which shall be first, and there
are first which shall be
last.” (Luke 13:23-30)
Those who have placed their own way “last”
shall be “first” in Jesus’ Kingdom. But those
who have put their way “first” shall be “last”.
We live in a very selfish age where people want
to be a part of the Kingdom, and yet place their
plans and their ways first. That way has never
been accepted by Christ, and never will. Putting
your plans and ways first is a fools game, yet
many are still trying to play and win at it.
I LOVE YOU ALL.
